The Import Export Institute International Trade Certification course is comprised of 5 comprehensive modules:

Participants will also be educated in how to conduct international market research, locate and verify foreign buyers, protect intellectual property abroad, reduce financial risk, develop compliance programs, how to classify products, market entry methods, how to identify opportunities with free trade partner countries, and locate overseas products and suppliers. The Import Export Institute International Trade Certification is designed for those who are:
- Interested in entering the global marketplace. Ideal for manufacturers, manufacturer/sales representatives, or other entrepreneurs who are seeking to gain international market entry. If your product or service is selling in the U.S., there is an international market!
- Currently working in a profession in a specialized area of International Business. This program meets NASBITE standards and prepares you for the CGBP certification. Earn a professional credential to confirm your experience and knowledge.

Printed materials will be sent to self-study participants via priority mail service. International shipping services provided by our shipping partner, FedEx. Electronic delivery of supplemental study guides and presentations will also be available. You proceed through the program independently and call or email with any questions you might have. All books and materials are included.
The Import Export Institute International Trade Certification course One-On-One Training With An Import Export Institute Credentialed Instructor:
This is the preferred method. A credentialed NASBITE trainer will guide you through the program, topic by topic. You will meet with your instructor two or three times per week, at your pre-arranged appointment times via phone or video conference. Flexibility is key – you may have day, evening, or weekend sessions. The trainer will review material and will set aside time to answer your questions. These sessions typically last an hour. Your instructor will also be available to you as a resource or mentor upon completion of the program, answering questions as you launch your business. All books and materials are included. Printed materials will be sent via priority mail service. International shipping services provided by our shipping partner, FedEx. Electronic delivery of supplemental study guides and presentations will also be available.
Either method of study will takes, on average, 4-5 months to complete the entire program. The Institute has an open-enrollment policy allowing you the freedom to start on your schedule.

Printed materials are shipped for each course via priority mail service. International delivery is provided by FedEx, our international shipping partner. Supplemental study guides, presentations, and additional resources are delivered electronically.
The Institute has an “open enrollment” policy so there are no restrictions on when you can begin your training program. You are not required to attend a location-based course – all courses are independent learning so you can work the program into your life, not work your life around the program. Once the program has been delivered, we have a no-refund policy. We will work to make sure the program meets your expectations and assist you in any way we can.

*For those who wish to obtain the CGBP credential, the participant will have to pass the CGBP certification exam and meet the requirements of experience (two years of working in the industry) or meet the educational requirement (completed at least 32 credit hours of college-level courses).
